In 2024, the deployment of Kavach 4.0 commenced across key routes, enhancing accident prevention and operational efficiency. The Railway Ministry allocated ₹1,112.57 crore for its installation in the 2024-25 fiscal year, underscoring the commitment to modernizing rail infrastructure.

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has been honored with the 'Excellence in Project Management' award for its outstanding execution of the Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Rail Line project. In 2024, RVNL achieved a significant milestone by commissioning 666.04 km of railway lines, including new lines, gauge conversions, and doubling projects, thereby enhancing India's rail infrastructure.

For Excellence in Rolling Stock Manufacturing

BHEL's commitment to excellence in rolling stock manufacturing is exemplified by its recent achievements. In 2024, BHEL secured a significant order for 80 Vande Bharat Trains in consortium with Titagarh Wagons Limited, marking a major milestone in India's semi-high-speed train segment. Additionally, BHEL entered a strategic partnership with HIMA Middle East FZE to enhance railway signalling solutions, further solidifying its position as a leader in advanced rail technology.

Achievement in Rapid Development of Metro Project

UPMRC's rapid metro development has redefined urban transit in Uttar Pradesh. In 2024, under the leadership of Managing Director Sushil Kumar, UPMRC achieved significant milestones, including the completion of the Kanpur Metro project and the inauguration of the Agra Metro's priority corridor. These accomplishments underscore UPMRC's commitment to sustainable and efficient urban transportation solutions.

For Excellence in Train Design and Engineering

RCF's innovative approach in train design and engineering has led to the development of the Vande Metro, a high-speed train designed for short-distance intercity travel, with the first prototype coach expected by April 2025. In 2024, RCF achieved a significant milestone by producing its 45,000th coach, underscoring its pivotal role in advancing India's rail infrastructure. Additionally, RCF has been honored with the prestigious Best Production Unit Award for its exceptional performance in 2023-24.
