Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) is a leading manufacturer of Rail components & Spare Parts to the industry for the last 57 years and is now manufacturing metro coaches for the growth of the Metro Sector of India and has supplied to multiple projects across India. Recently BEML also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with RITES Ltd. to explore and jointly bid for opportunities in the fields of Metro systems and export of rolling stock.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is a leading supplier of locomotives and propulsion electrics to Indian Railways for the last 50 years. Further, BHEL has developed the first 3-phase Ethernet-based AC Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) equipped with BHEL manufactured electrics which has recently been rolled out from RCF Kapurthala to Asansol MEMU shed, Eastern Railways, signaling a new era in the urban transportation segment.

Special Felicitation For Excellence towards Green and Sustainable Metro System

L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited - L&T METRO have made substantial progress in the making their metro project green and sustainable by utilizing clean energy and reducing the impact on the environment significantly. As part of its green initiatives, L&T Metro has 8.35 MWp of captive solar plants installed at open spaces within their metro depots and at the rooftops of approx. 28 metro stations.

Special Felicitation For Achievement towards adopting Driverless Metro system for Indian projects towards safety

Delhi Metro have made substantial progress in the development and growth of the Metro Sector of India, specially in the field of adopting Driverless Metro system for Indian projects (India’s First Driverless Metro). Recently, their team also inaugurated it on the 59 kilometre long Pink Line (Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar) of Delhi Metro. The Delhi Metro’s fully automated network is now grown to about 97 kilometres, which is 4th largest in the world and the only DTO network in India, which has contributed more flexibility in train operations, reduced human interventions and human errors and improved the availability of coaches for service.

Shri Rajesh Agrawal is Former Member (Rolling Stock), Railway Board and ex-officio Secretary to the Government of India. During the course of his long illustrious career, Shri Rajesh Agrawal held several important executive and managerial positions on Indian Railways. Shri Agrawal has served in 8 Zonal Railways i.e. Eastern Railway, North Frontier, North Western, South Eastern, South East Central, Southern, Western & West Central Railway.
